The MICRO Vortex Generator Kit, manufacturer part number 5090, is designed by Micro AeroDynamics for the Cessna 170 (Rag Wing). The kit uses small vortex generators positioned on the wing and horizontal stabiliser to energise airflow over the aircraft surfaces at low speeds and high angles of attack.

According to the manufacturer, this complete kit contains 76 vortex generators for the wings and 36 for the underside of the horizontal stabiliser. The vortex generators are manufactured from aircraft-grade 6063-T6 aluminium, with an alodined finish ready to accept paint. Their bases are shaped to suit the wing contour, while the horizontal-stabiliser units have flat bases.
