The Nord-Lock Carbon Steel Washer NL 1/4 is a wedge-locking washer set supplied as one matched pair for 1/4 in (6.35 mm) bolted joints. It is intended for secure bolted assemblies where resistance to loosening under vibration or dynamic loading is required.

Nord-Lock’s wedge-locking principle uses cams on the mating faces and serrations on the outer faces. When the joint is tightened, the washer pair acts through tension rather than relying solely on friction to help maintain preload.
