McFarlane Vernier-Assist™ throttle control, manufacturer part number MCVA9863056-2. This FAA-PMA approved control combines conventional push-pull operation for coarse throttle changes with rotary vernier assistance for precise power adjustment.

The Vernier-Assist mechanism uses friction operation rather than threaded engagement. Push or pull the knob for normal coarse movement; rotate it clockwise or counter-clockwise for fine adjustment. A friction lock helps retain the selected setting while remaining readily overridable.
