The LW-12999 is a Lycoming plate for the oil filter adapter assembly. It is identified by Lycoming as PLATE-OIL FILTER ADAPTER.

In the applicable Lycoming O-235 full-flow oil-filter installation, this plate is fitted between the accessory housing and the oil filter adapter. Lycoming documentation describes the plate as incorporating an oil-metering hole; it is installed with two LW-12795 oil-filter-adapter gaskets.
