This Cessna 170B glareshield is a one-piece, hand-laminated fibreglass cockpit glare shield for the Cessna 170B, catalogue-listed for 1952–1956 aircraft.

The Ashby glareshield design is described as having a semi-gloss black, leather-textured finish to reduce distracting reflections on the instrument panel. The reinforced front lip is intended to accommodate optional instrument-panel lighting and may also provide a useful handhold area.
