12K carbon-fibre tow supplied on a 4 lb (approximately 1.8 kg) spool. The tow consists of bundled carbon filaments, with 12K denoting 12,000 filaments per tow.

The fibre is sized with an epoxy-compatible treatment to support handling during composite lay-up. It is suitable as a reinforcement material for composite fabrication and repair work where the applicable design data, material system and maintenance procedures call for carbon-fibre tow.
