Overview
| Each of our three scales measure 12" x 15" and are made of cast aluminum & Steel. The electronic display has been moved into the suitcase to keep it out of harms way. Scale Platforms are NOT to be used with tandem tire aircraft. If you weigh aircraft with tandem tires you should look at the 15K scale platform. Each base comes with a machined carry handle on the bottom. The scale pads are powder coated grey. The coating makes cleanup quite easy because most everything will wipe right off. Although these units are water resistant, they should never be washed by hose or high pressure. Gentle hand cleaning should be all that is needed to keep your scales looking new. The external display reads out to the nearest 1 LB and features a LCD backlight that comes on with motion and stays on for enough time to record your reading accurately. Scale never turns off unless you tell it to. Only the backlight is on a timer, and comes back on anytime you cause a little motion. The suitcase unit is powered by A/C adapter. The scale comes certified, and currently satisfies all FAA requirements for 12 months. Recertification at our shop cost $105.00 per set. It's recommended an inspection every year, but most scales will hold their calibration for much longer. Preferring to keep your unit in top shape, and do offer many upgrades if you use our service. Instructions are provided on web site so that calibration can be preformed by scale technicians in your area. Choose which is best for you. Modular design allows certification without shipping the cast frames. Warranty is 12 months covering any manufacturing defects. |
